All options require you to be single or divorced prior to surgery although Dr Haertsch will accept a statutory Declaration from your partner to the effect that he or she will not take any legal action against the doctors, or other persons or institutions (hospitals) that have contributed to the reassignment of their partner and that they (the partner) were aware of what was to happen.(See appendix A below for an example Declaration) .
