This section probably won't be of much relevance to most, but to us transsexuals, who are far too dependent on the medical profession, knowing just what you're in for can be a lot of use. So, we've compiled a list of doctors, gender clinics, surgeons, and counsellors, so that you can have a little more hope of not drawing a blank stare when you tell your doctor 'actually, I want to be a girl.' Hopefully, anyway.

Medical professionals tend to get bagged more than anyone else by us trannies, so we've avoided making any assessments of the relative worth of any of the doctors or services listed here. Us trannies can be a decidedly bitchy lot, so when psychiatrist A tells us to go and get our act together (perhaps we deserve such an assessment), we tend to start spreading vicious rumours about him. It's just the nature of the beast. All his other patients probably think he's the bees knees. So, in order to avoid a lawsuit, we've simply listed each and every doctor or medical professional that we've heard has some knowledge of gender issues.

In addition to the traditional list of contacts, we've also included a bit of a blurb to give you some idea of what you're in for. This, of course, is purely speculation, and is extremely open to interpretation and the associated flames. Not to worry, my email account is lined with asbestos, and if you try that on my phone, you'll likely as not get to hear me laugh at you for wasting your 24 cents. :)
