The World Wide Web has been largely responsible for the explosion in
popularity of the internet over the last couple of years. Through the
use of hypertext links, you can navigate around the web to your hearts
desire. Every page you bring up has a good half dozen links to other
pages, so of course you just have to follow them, don’t you?
As a medium for publishing information like this guide, nothing beats the
web. By simply writing a few pages of text, and then ‘advertising’ your
resource to a few search engines, you open up your little bit of information
to hundreds of thousands of computer users all the way around the globe.
There is no accountability, no censorship, and complete anonymity for people
accessing the information. As a result, you’ll find more information about
transgender issues on the web than you will anywhere else. Here’s a really
brief selection of sites, each of which will link you to dozens of others:
- Transgendered NZ
- Well, basically the Kiwi version of this.
